A
fairyland—Clare Quay
This
Sunday afternoon, I went to Clare Quay on my own, although I have been there
once the scenery there really attracted me a lot.
Walking
out the MRT station, the first place I went into was a shopping centre. I
believed that the topic of this week of the shopping centre was balloon, as in
the centre of its lobby, there was a separated world made of balloons. It was
like a magic trick that balloons could be made into grass, flowers and coconut
trees and even the clothes of a model. Out of the shopping mall was the Clare
Quay, it was fascinating to see the houses along the river decorated with
different and bright colors. Just like walking into a fairyland and maybe each
house had a fairy living in. People could drink coffee and enjoy the landscape
besides the river, there were also ships on the river, I thought it would be
really comfortable to sit on the ships and enjoy the soft breeze. I recalled
the first time I came to Clare Quay was on the Christmas even, there were much more
people and it was a little crowded. In the middle of the ground, there was a
large Christmas tree which was made of several LCD screens. On each screen was
the photo taken of the tourists, one of them was taken of my friend and me, it
was really exciting to “plant” ourselves on the tree as decorations.
After
this trip, the Clare Quay impressed me a lot more, and in my opinion, it was a
real fairyland.
It's especially stunning and very lively at night when the place is full of people simply walking up and down the river. You may wish to take some friends with you the next time. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteI have never been there before. This Friday my parents will come here. Maybe I will take them to this fairyland!!!I am looking forward to it!!!
ReplyDeleteI have never heard about it but it intrigues me a lot according to your description. I will soon make a tour to it ~HAHA
ReplyDeleteI have never been to there, but I'd like to put it in my schedule. Hahaha. I think it is very meaningful to wander in Singapore without any purpose since it can help us know more about Singapore and the ordinary life here.
ReplyDeleteit seems to be a extremely attractive place, maybe next time, i will go and have a look
